Helping Young People feel Safe, Valued and Empowered
Jessica
Jessica is the Manager and one of the Founding Directors of the home. Her passion for helping young people thrive is at the heart of everything she does - and it’s exactly what inspired her to create a space where young people can feel truly safe, supported, and understood. Registered with Ofsted since September 2021, Jessica brings over 19 years of experience working with young people across a wide range of settings, including sports, community projects, education, custodial care, and residential services.
Jessica holds a BSc in Psychology and a postgraduate MSc in Counselling Children and Young People. She’s currently working towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management, continuing her commitment to professional growth and high-quality care. She has completed several Designated Safeguarding Lead qualifications, including Working Together, and holds specialist training in Autism, Mental Health, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), Trauma, and Psychologically Informed Practices for residential childcare. Alongside all mandatory sector-specific training, she’s also trained in supervision and appraisal, ensuring that the adults she leads are well-supported too.
For Jessica, this home isn’t just a workplace - it’s a genuine calling, built on the belief that with the right support, every young person can achieve great things.
Building Confidence and Resilience in a Supportive Environment
Jasmine
As a Director of Halls Homes for Young People, I bring over 15 years of experience working with children in various sporting environments. My journey began as a lifeguard and swim teacher which then evolved into coaching football and athletics, as well as leading summer camps that foster both skill development and personal growth. My passion for youth development has taken me across the globe, including enriching experiences in America, where I worked on football camps for children aged 5yrs-14yrs. I am dedicated to creating safe, nurturing spaces where young people can thrive, learn, and discover their potential through sports and community engagement. Currently I work in the finance sector as a Senior Global Payroll Analyst.

My passion lies in creating meaningful opportunities for youth, and I am committed to fostering a supportive and diverse staff team that meets their needs effectively and efficiently. Together, we strive to empower young individuals and help them navigate their journeys toward a brighter future.
Meeting Challenges with Compassionate and Support
Gill
As a Director of Halls Homes for Young People and a proud mother of three of the directors, I am deeply committed to supporting children and families in our community. My journey in childcare spans from day nurseries, family centers, and educational settings, where I have cultivated a passion for nurturing young lives. For 16 years, I have served as an intensive support foster carer, providing stability and care to a total of 11 children throughout that time who were aged between 10yrs-18yrs, many of whom faced significant challenges such as placement breakdowns, educational setbacks, and involvement in the criminal justice system. Currently, I work part-time as a Disability Family Intervention Worker in a children’s home, where I provide respite care for disabled children. My mission is to create positive, transformative experiences for every child I encounter.
Committed to Building Stable, Supportive Futures for Young People
Mick
As a Director of Halls Homes for Young People, I am proud to work alongside my wife and our three children in a venture dedicated to creating safe and nurturing spaces for young people. Over the past 16 years, I have supported my wife in fostering 11 children, an experience that inspired us to open our own children’s home to provide a stable environment where multiple children can thrive together. My passion for working with young people has shaped my journey, from coaching both male and female football teams to delivering engaging youth club sessions for our local authority. Together, we are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of children and helping them reach their full potential.
